Hi Tui,
Busy planning some lessons for first day back and looking at resourses that I need. Can you help me out by bringing some paper bags to school on Monday? Don't worry if you can't find paper, I basically just need medium sized bags that we can't see into. All contributions welcome.

Don't forget...I'll be expecting S research on the first Monday back and we'll also be having our big spelling test sometime on Monday. Test will be out of 30, therefore highest possible class score will be 690. Shall we aim for 80% of this to get our class treat?

Homework Challenges

Hi everyone,
We are working together today and just wanted to confirm who still needs to hand in the homework challenges to us for last term. As we do not wish to name and shame would you please blog us to let us know if you have not handed anything in and confirm that you will have something ready by Monday morning - August 1.

We trust you are all having an awesome holiday and will be well rested to begin a very busy Term 3. Make sure you get out this week to sell your chocolate - going to the sports fields on a Saturday is a great way to achieve this.

Hi more stuff we missed covering!!

Year 8s you need to have completed those evaluations for the Young Leaders' Day and hand them into Mrs Watson first thing on Monday. A high standard of feedback is expected and for the 2 absent today, you need to contact someone and get the questions from them.

Leilani - you need to find yours and hand it in please. Also can I have your altar square next week without fail.

• Well done Vincent for handing in his Beatitude poster - where are the other 7? I need them a.s.a.p.
• Likewise Vincent is the only one whose written RE work I have. By next Wednesday I will expect to see in your books the following.
• Each Beatitude written out as it is in the Bible with the catch phrase we put with it so we could remember it. You will also have the two Beatitudes that you worked on explained more fully in your book with real life examples of how we can model them.

Manaakitanga - the Art Gallery Experience

Hi everyone,
Once again thank you for your wonderful celebration of my birthday over the last couple of days - it has been awesome!! Now for the bad news....
I meant to say that I wanted you to reflect on our gallery visit today in two ways.

• What symbols and techniques did viewing the work today teach you? Make sure you detail your understanding.
• What aspects about Maori did you learn or think more about today by visiting the gallery?

If you draft it out this weekend while it is still fresh in your mind and then write it into your L.E.G. book next week that would be great. Please give it a border using the Maori symbols that you learnt about today.
